Euro Bali to alleviate access to European market

Denpasar (BB) - Kuta Small Business Association (KSBA), the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WIFI), and Milan Chamber of Commerce (Formaper) are cooperating to handle SME (Small and Medium Enterprise’s) projects in Indonesia. It aims to give access for local SMEs to enter European market.
“The projects received assistance from European Commission to give training to Indonesian entrepreneurs hence they can extend network of Europe-Indonesia,” said the project manager of KSBA, Christian Fritz, on Wednesday in Kuta, Badung.
He further said that the dubbed EuroBali project had three components, namely training to Bali’s SMEs’ entrepreneurs on how to do exportations to Europe, exchanging information between Bali’s SMEs’ entrepreneurs and European buyers on various things, two conference-launchings in Bali.
In conjunction to the project, European trainers are going to teach 12 Balinese on how to enter European market. Then those people are going to transfer their knowledge to Bali’s SMEs.
In the meantime, the launching of the Euro Bali Training Program is to be held on 21 May, 2005 at a hotel Sahid Raya hotel.
Remembering its importance, the project should be given a great attention by the sides of Bali’s SMEs. *pry
