Qatar Airways to Bali on Wednesday, March 28, 2007.
Minister Jero Wacik to Personally Welcome Qatar AirwaysTo mark the commencement of service by
Qatar Airways from Bali to Doha and the 70 worldwide destinations served by the Airline, Indonesia’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Jero Wacik, will be on hand in Bali to help officiate at the welcoming ceremony at Bali's Airport when
QR624 touches down shortly after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Minister will also share the head table with
Qatar Airways CEO, Akbar al Baker at a gala welcoming reception at the
Ritz Carlton Bali, Resort & Spa on Wednesday evening.
Minister Wacik has made increasing tourist numbers from Middle Eastern markets a prime goal of his Department. While
Qatar Airways will certainly help to increase Middle Eastern Markets to Bali, its excellent connections through Europe and the Eastern Coast of the U.S.A. should prove an important boost in those two markets often plagued by a lack of conveniently accessible air seats to Bali.
